Common Names: Amapá-rana, Bagasse jaune

The color of freshly sawn heartwood ranges from bright yellow to golden yellow, darkening to a golden or reddish brown upon exposure to light.
Grain is usually interlocked, resulting in a rather broad stripe; texture is medium to coarse, moderately uniform.
Machines and finishes well.

  • Sapwood is not considered a defect and may be found in some blanks.
  • Due to the nature of wood, no two pieces are alike, and movement, shrinkage or expansion can occur.
